New 'critically endangered' fern discovered in TN’s Koli Hills

Indian botanists from Government Victoria College and Sri Vyasa NSS College exploring the Kolli Hills in Tamil Nadu have discovered a new fern species, Pteris madhusoodananii. Found in an unprotected area spanning just 8 sq km, the plant has been categorised as critically endangered due to habitat fragmentation.
