Researchers have found a new, but extinct, beetle species that was inside a 230-million-year-old fossilised faeces specimen that was found in Poland several years ago, Uppsala University reported. Named Triamyxa coprolithica, the beetle was found in the poop of Silesaurus opolensis. The coprolite, fossilised faeces, was scanned using a special technique called synchrotron microtomography.
