Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday said that the definition of MSMEs has been revised. She added that investment limit has been revised upwards and additional criteria of turnover has been introduced. Further, the distinction between manufacturing and service sector has been eliminated. The investment limit of ₹25 lakh for micro units has been increased to ₹1 crore.
