New electric blue tarantula species discovered in Thailand forest

A new electric blue tarantula species has been discovered in Thailand. It closely resembles the colour emitted by electrical sparks. It was unearthed in a Phang-Nga province mangrove forest. Dr Narin Chomphuphuang explained that the striking blue hue arises from the nanostructures within the tarantula's hair rather than blue pigments, manipulating light to create the blue appearance.
