New German law allows police to install spyware in homes

German House of Representatives has approved changes to Berlin's police law, allowing officers to secretly enter homes to install spyware when remote access isn't possible. New rules permit physical break-ins for digital surveillance, including hacking phones and computers to monitor communication. Police may also activate bodycams inside private homes if they believe someone is in serious danger.
