Google has announced a new extension for its Chrome web browser to detect and inform users if their credentials have been leaked online. The 'Password Checkup' tool matches the username-and-password combination on a database with over 4 billion leaked credentials. "We built Password Checkup so that no one, including Google, can learn your account details," Google said in its blog.
