A team of researchers has discovered a new plant species from Impatiens genus in Western Ghats and named it in honour of Professor Selva Singh Richard from Madras Christian College in Chennai, recognising his significant contributions to field of plant reproductive biology. "It's rare honour for a teacher. I shared whatever knowledge I had about plants with students," Richard stated.
