The new Income-Tax Bill 2025 was passed in the Lok Sabha on Monday, three minutes after the Bill was tabled amid an uproar by Opposition MPs. The Bill was withdrawn three days ago to include most recommendations made by the Baijayant Panda-led Select Committee. The Bill was initially tabled in the Parliament on February 13 to replace the decades-old Act.
