Income Tax Bill, 2025 allows officers to legally access people's social media accounts, personal emails, bank accounts, online investment accounts, and trading accounts in case of suspected tax evasion or undisclosed property/income. Officers can "gain access by overriding access code to any said computer system, or virtual digital space, where access code thereof isn't available," the Bill says.
