New study shows body shape may predict hidden liver risk

A new study published in Scientific Reports found that higher body roundness index (BRI), a measure based on waist size and height, is linked to greater risk of metabolic liver disease in non-diabetic adults. The risk was highest in those with normal BMI but elevated BRI, highlighting the need for better tools beyond weight alone.
