New study shows cold-water dips may trigger overeating

A new study in Physiology & Behaviour found that 30 minutes of cold-water immersion at 16°C led participants to eat over 30% more calories than after warm water or air exposure. Researchers say the fall in core body temperature may trigger this appetite boost, raising concerns for weight control in people who regularly use cold-water therapy.
