New study shows football training burns 500 calories per hour

A new clinical trial published in Biology of Sport found that recreational football training can burn about 524 calories in a 60-minute session. Adults with metabolic syndrome also accumulated over 40 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous activity, suggesting football may help people meet weekly exercise targets and improve cardiometabolic health.
