New study shows HIIT is best for building endurance

A new study in the 'Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports' shows that high-intensity interval training (HIIT) boosts endurance and VO₂max more than sprint intervals. Well-trained men who did 4x4-minute HIIT sessions for 8 weeks had bigger fitness gains than those doing short sprints, highlighting the power of longer efforts for aerobic improvement.
