New Zealand triples entry fee for tourists from October 1

In a move designed to manage tourism influx and generate additional revenue, the New Zealand government has announced that it will be tripling entry fees for international tourists starting from October 1, 2024. Earlier, travellers had to pay NZD 35 (USD 21.77) in international visitor and conservation and tourism fees. This amount has been hiked to NZD 100 (USD 62.20).
