New Zealand's inflation remained near a 32-year high in the third quarter as annual inflation eased to 7.2% from 7.3% in the second quarter, Statistics New Zealand said on Tuesday. Consumer prices rose 2.2% in the last quarter. Earlier, New Zealand's Reserve Bank had predicted inflation would drop to 6.4%, while economists expected the rate to drop to 6.5%.
