An NGO has written a letter to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), objecting to the civic body's list allocating places to hawkers. The list issued by BMC allowed hawkers to operate at various spots including Goregaon skywalk and the Malad foot-overbridge. "[W]e found that many guidelines have been ignored, and pitches have been allocated in an arbitrary manner," the NGO said.
