The National Green Tribunal has asked the Centre to respond to a plea alleging a lack of air quality norms at petrol pumps. The petitioners claimed petroleum products at fuel stations contribute significantly to air pollution. They quoted a study which found the level of toxic fumes containing pollutants to be higher than permissible limits at petrol pumps in Delhi.
