The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed authorities to secure South Delhi forest land with fencing, warning boards, and dense Miyawaki-style tree plantations. It also ordered the removal of waste and action on landlocked forest parcels. Separately, the NGT asked Uttar Pradesh to map heavy metal contamination in Kanpur and surrounding districts and submit a report on its health impact.
