The National Green Tribunal has ordered a fresh assessment of environmental compensation against SMS Envoclean's biomedical waste facility at Deonar, citing discrepancies in MPCB's earlier calculation. A joint CPCB-MPCB panel will recompute dues for violations between 2018 and 2023, following residents' objections to the ₹14.22 lakh penalty.
