The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has rejected a prayer by the Special Protection Group (SPG) to extend registration of Prime Minister Modi's three diesel-run specialised armoured vehicles. The NGT cited the Supreme Court’s October 2018 order that banned diesel vehicles older than 10 years from plying on the roads of Delhi NCR. The SPG had asked for extension till 2029.
