The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Ludhiana, has directed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to refund excess toll charges and pay compensation to a Ludhiana-based advocate for harassment and unfair trade practice at a toll plaza. The commission allowed the complaint and ordered the NHAI and its officials to jointly refund ₹190 and pay ₹20,000.
