The National Human Rights Council (NHRC) has issued a notice to officials of Bengaluru's central prison over complaints of torture and the secret transfer of 32 prisoners. The prisoners were allegedly beaten up because they demanded to meet DIG Roopa, who had visited the jail after leaking a report that claimed Sasikala was given special treatment in the prison.
