The NIA on Sunday conducted searches at 17 locations across Assam and arrested a Naxal. The suspect had been absconding and was apprehended for allegedly spreading the network of CPI (Maoist) in the northeast region of the country. According to an official spokesperson of the NIA, the searches were carried out at places in Cachar, Karimganj, Dibrugarh and Dhubri districts.
