Nike has filed seven requests with US Patent and Trademark Office for trademarks in categories including "downloadable virtual goods" or programs featuring shoes, apparel for use online. It filed new applications for 'Nike', 'Just Do It' and its logo. Reports said Nike may be heading into the 'metaverse'. A trademark attorney said the filings were "a nod to this idea".
