NIT Rourkela and IIT Patna Vishlesan I-Hub Foundation (TIH IIT Patna) have jointly received the patent for India's first autonomous real-time land mapping drone system. The 'BHU-MANACHITRA' generates the maps without internet or manual intervention, using lightweight AI model and UAV technology. "[It's] self-sufficient and especially valuable in remote locations," researchers said.
