Government think-tank NITI Aayog has proposed that two-wheelers with an engine capacity less than 150 cc to be converted to electric by 2025. Moreover, it also aims to make three-wheelers to be fully electric by 2023. Niti Aayog has reportedly asked conventional two-wheeler and three-wheeler makers to suggest concrete steps towards transition to electric mobility within two weeks.
