Senior officials from Edelweiss, accused of abetting the suicide of art director Nitin Desai, stated in court that Desai had begun delaying his loan repayment schedules from 2018-end. Senior counsel Amit Desai informed Bombay HC that Desai took total loan of ₹181 crore. He emphasised that there was no intention on the part of the accused to abet Desai's suicide.
