The Karnataka High Court has ruled that the cap on the prices of movie tickets in the state will not be applicable during weekends and state holidays. The state government had earlier capped the prices of movie tickets at ₹200 for all theatres including multiplexes. The multiplexes have claimed that the capping of prices was against the film industry's interests.
