Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Monday said that there is no ban imposed on carpooling in Bengaluru, adding that app aggregators have to obtain license. Reddy's clarification comes after Karnataka BJP questioned the ban saying carpooling helps in decongesting traffic in city. On Saturday, Karnataka government announced that fine up to ₹10,000 will be imposed against violators.
