The Delhi Police has issued fresh directives mandating that personnel deployed on duty at Jantar Mantar must report in uniform and not in civilian dress. This comes after security forces faced criticism over several videos allegedly showing plainclothes men with lathis assaulting CJP protestors. Many Opposition leaders criticised BJP-led Centre over excessive police action on the demonstrators.
