Former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan said that he is an academic and not a politician. This comes after he met former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and his family in January. He said, "There has been some speculation in the press about my recent meetings and a Rajya Sabha seat. I have not discussed a Rajya Sabha seat with any party."
