No food has entered northern Gaza since October, leaving a huge population at risk of hunger, according to the World Food Programme. In August, 700 aid trucks reached the area, but numbers dropped drastically in September following the suspension of commercial operations at Allenby Crossing. The WFP warned, "One million vulnerable people will lose this lifeline if aid doesn't resume."
