Maharashtra Revenue Minister, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, dismissed claims that funds were diverted from the Social Justice and Tribal Development departments to the Women and Child Development department for the Ladki Bahin scheme. He said the funds earmarked for these departments cannot be legally diverted for any other purpose and that the state government would never misappropriate these funds.
