The Supreme Court has said that mining will not be allowed in the Aravalli Hills until the court is satisfied with its new definition. The court blamed the "powerful mining lobby" for all the problems and refused to pass any order in the favour of mining leaseholders. Earlier, the court had stayed its judgement that accepted Aravalli's 100-metre elevation definition.
