Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut took a swipe at Congress for waiting on its Delhi "high command" before deciding on alliances, amid growing opposition friction in Maharashtra. Raut said, "Shiv Sena and MNS have already come together...this is people's will. There is no need for anyone's...permission for that." He added that Sharad Pawar and Left parties support unity.
