What does the law say about prosecuting a public servant?

According to Section 218 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, prior government sanction is required to prosecute a public servant or police officer. However, if a woman alleges she has been assaulted or harassed by any public servant, then the provision states that no prior sanction is required, as told by Advocate Deepak Somani.
