Sweden's Svante Pääbo, who won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine on Monday, is the son of a Nobel Prize winner. His father, late Sune K Bergström, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1982 for his discoveries concerning prostaglandins and related biologically active substances. Pääbo won the Nobel for his discoveries on human evolution.
