Noida's Hindon floodplain protest seeking electricity supply enters 16th day

The protest in Noida's Hindon floodplain area demanding formal electricity connections entered its 16th day on Tuesday with 35 people on an indefinite fast. Residents said the protest will continue until authorities give written assurance of power supply. Bharatiya Kisan Parishad national president Sukhbir Khalifa alleged high-rise buildings in the area get power supply through 'informal means'.
