Nokia to buy Alcatel-Lucent in its largest deal

Finland-based phone manufacturer Nokia on Wednesday announced an agreement to buy French company Alcatel-Lucent for $16.6 billion. This would be the largest acquisition by Nokia so far. Post acquisition, the shareholders of Alcatel-Lucent will get 0.55 share for each of their old share. The deal will be finalised in the first half of 2016.
