A sessions court has issued a non-bailable warrant against filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma in a cheque bounce case. Varma was found guilty under Negotiable Instruments Act by a judicial magistrate, who sentenced him to three months in jail and ordered him to pay ₹3,72,219 to the complainant within three months. Varma had requested the court to suspend his jail sentence.
