PM Narendra Modi said North and South Block building were “constructed as symbols of the British Empire.” He added that Raisina Hills was chosen deliberately so that these buildings would stand taller than others, symbolising dominance. “In contrast, Seva Teerth complex today is not perched on a hill but is more closely connected to the ground and people,” he added.
