Amazon is denying a report that an Amazon Web Services outage in December was caused by Amazon's own AI coding tool, Kiro, which introduced a bug and spurred the cloud outage. "This brief event was the result of user error…specifically misconfigured access controls…not AI,” said an AWS spokesperson. Amazon described the event as an "extremely limited" incident.
