After a video showing decomposed bodies being loaded into a van by the Kolkata civic body was widely circulated online, Kolkata Police tweeted, "West Bengal Health Department has informed that dead bodies were not of COVID patients." It also clarified that they were "unclaimed or unidentified bodies from hospital morgue". This comes after allegations that they were coronavirus victims' bodies.
