Chinese AI startup Zhipu's Founder, Tang Jie, said "not everyone" in China "supports" strict AI restrictions, advocating open models to drive innovation. As per Bloomberg, Tang shared his views in an internal memo and said open-source AI fosters collaboration and global progress. His remarks come following Chinese firms' balance between government regulations and competition in global AI market.
