As Congress’ Siddaramaiah became the longest-serving CM of Karnataka, Opposition BJP said, “He’s not the longest serving CM, but the biggest borrowing CM.” BJP leader Ashok claimed that Karnataka government is likely to borrow ₹93,000 crore in the fourth quarter, from January to March. "Siddaramaiah must realise that history doesn't honour hollow record of time spent in office," he added.
