After Karnataka High Court refused to stay a state government order banning bike taxi services, Namma Bike Taxi Association wrote to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, urging him to intervene to protect their livelihoods. "We ride in...hot sun, heavy rain, and traffic to keep the city moving. Bike taxis aren’t a side income. [This is] how we survive," the letter stated.
