National Revolutionary Front Manipur calls for 24-hour statewide shutdown

Proscribed outfit NRFM called a 24-hour statewide shutdown on September 20-21, opposing Manipur's 1949 merger with India as illegal. Normal life was disrupted across five Imphal Valley districts, affecting transport, schools, and markets. Security forces were deployed at key locations. Police also arrested an NRFM cadre on September 19.
