Cochin University B-Tech Alumni Association (CUBAA), organisers of UAE event where Pakistani cricketers Shahid Afridi and Umar Gul came, clarified that their visit was "unannounced and unsolicited". CUBAA said cricketers were at the venue for another event and entered their event as it was concluding. The incident was criticised as Afridi made anti-India comments during recent Indo-Pak tensions.
