NSA asks tech companies for direct data access

America's National Security Agency (NSA) has asked technology companies like Google, Microsoft and Apple to grant it direct access to encrypted data that would allow it to spy on netizens with more ease. "I don’t want a back door, I want a front door," NSA director Michael S. Rogers told technology companies during a recent speech at Princeton University.
