Ashish Chauhan, MD and CEO of NSE, has proposed minimum qualification criteria for participation in futures and options (F&O) to protect retail investors. He also added that safeguards similar to those in the US and Singapore need to be introduced in India. This comes after SEBI highlighted that 90% of individual traders in the F&O market face losses.
